As of July 15th, 2024, the new Destination Thailand Visa (DTV) is available for Muay Thai students, allowing you to stay in the Kingdom of Thailand for up to five years.

Costs: 10,000 Baht (Payable to your nearest Thai Embassy)

            2500 Baht admin Fee (Payable to Muay Thai Fever.)

            1900 Baht Extension fee every 6 months (Payable to local immigration)

            15,000 Baht - 42,000 Baht Muay Thai Training cost, depending on length of stay. and frequency of training. Payable in advance before you apply for your visa.

DTV (Destination Thailand Visa) Requirements

It is important that the Muay Thai Gym you choose has certification and compliance with the following government agencies. Not all embassy's need all this compliance but to be sure of getting your DTV it's better if your gym has all the documents.

1. Sports Authority of Thailand

2. Board of Boxing Sport A License

3. Ministry of Education - Department of Skills Development Muay Thai Instructor.

4. A Ltd Company Registered for tax.

The Destination Thailand Visa (DTV) is a newly introduced visa aimed at boosting tourism in Thailand. It provides an opportunity for remote workers, often referred to as "digital nomads," to stay and work in Thailand for extended periods without facing immigration or tax issues.

With a successful DTV application, you will receive a 5-year multiple-entry visa, allowing you to stay in Thailand for up to 180 days per year, with the option to extend for another 180 days. This visa is ideal for those who wish to experience life in Thailand while working remotely without the usual restrictions of standard tourist visas.

The DTV costs 10,000 THB.

Eligibility Requirements for the Destination Thailand Visa (DTV)

While application details are still pending, some eligibility requirements have been announced:

  • You must be at least 20 years old.

  • You must have sufficient funds to pay the visa fee.

  • You must have at least 500,000 THB in your bank account to support your stay.

  • Letter of invitation and a few other documents from the gym.

The Destination Thailand Visa is designed for digital nomads but it can also be utilized to enable you to stay long term to study Muay Thai.
