The Complete Guide to Training Muay Thai in Thailand, All you need to know.

Updated: Jul 21

Hello, I’m Derry. My journey with Muay Thai in Thailand began in 1994 when I first came here to study this incredible martial art. Now, 30 years later, I co-own a Muay Thai gym in North Thailand. During this time, I’ve fought in 52 Muay Thai bouts and achieved the World Muay Thai Council Professional Instructors Certification and the IFMA Amateur Muay Thai Instructor 12th Khan. Next week, I’ll be testing for the Combined Ministry of Education, Sports Authority, and Board of Boxing Sport Thai Government’s registered Muay Thai Instructors license—possibly becoming the first non-Thai to achieve this qualification. I speak Thai and have had experience living in 4 different citys in Thailand including Bangkok.

This blog is more general, I discuss the cost of living all around Thailand.:

3. Where to stay?
